clear nights

a backyard sky log, small telescope, lots of clouds

Saturn through the gap in the trees

September

Had about twenty minutes before it slid behind the neighbour's oak. The rings were tilted almost flat this year, a thin bright line instead of the usual wide ellipse. Still made me laugh out loud like the first time.

Cold hands, no comet

August

Got up at four for a comet that was supposed to be visible low in the east. Found a satellite, two planes and a very confused cat. The coffee afterwards was excellent.

July
